How we started
West Texas Tree Removal began in 2014 as Matt’s Tree Trimming & Removal, sparked by a devastating ice storm that ravaged trees across West Texas. At the time, our founder, Matt, worked as an electrician. On weekends and after hours, he stepped in to clear fallen branches and broken limbs tangled in trees.
The following year, those early customers returned with additional tree care needs — leading to the official launch of Matt’s Tree Trimming & Removal in September 2015.
How we’ve grown
Since then, we’ve grown significantly — investing in ISA courses on proper pruning and rigging techniques, and acquiring advanced equipment to enhance safety and efficiency. Matt’s passion for continuous learning drives our commitment to improving service quality.
The rebrand to West Texas Tree Removal
In late 2023, we made a major leap forward with the purchase of a brand-new Altec Knuckleboom crane equipped with a grapplesaw — revolutionizing our tree removal capabilities. This innovation prompted our rebranding to West Texas Tree Removal, reflecting our specialization in crane-assisted, remote-controlled tree removal.
